WHAT HAPPENED?

Dortmund and USMNT midfielder Gio Reyna could be nearing a long-awaited exit, as Bundesliga rivals Borussia Monchengladbach have opened discussions to secure his signature, according to The Athletic. 

The disgruntled Reyna has been repeatedly linked with a move away, most recently reported to be leaving for Parma - although no deal transpired.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Reyna's Dortmund tenure has been characterized largely by his lack of availability. The 22-year-old has started just 14 Bundesliga games since the beginning of the 2021-22 campaign, and has made 147 appearances since debuting in 2020.
