Marcus Rashford has been spotted rekindling with his ‘on-off girlfriend’ Lucia Loi as he stopped to sign autographs for Barcelona fans.

The 27-year-old sealed a loan move to Barcelona from Manchester United earlier this summer, potentially bringing a permanent close to his chapter with his boyhood club if the Catalan giants trigger the buy option in the deal.

But in his first career move abroad, it appears that Rashford has taken some home comforts with him to help him settle in Spain, with his long-term flame Lucia being spotted with the forward in Catalonia.

A video uploaded to TikTok showed Rashford signing autographs for Barcelona fans out of the window of his Range Rover, with Lucia seen in the passenger seat alongside him.

Lucia was also present for Rashford’s unveiling photoshoot at the Camp Nou last month and appears to be playing a crucial part in him settling into his new surroundings.

Rashford and Lucia have known each other since secondary school, attending Ashton-on-Mersey School in Manchester together as youngsters.

The two were in a relationship when Rashford burst onto the scene in stunning European and Premier League debuts against FC Midtjylland and Arsenal in February 2016.

However, their relationship hit a rocky patch during Covid as they split before reconciling a year later, with Rashford proposing to Lucia with a £250,000 engagement ring in June 2022.

But again they split in June 2023, with Rashford since being seen with a model outside a Miami hotel, and dating former Love Island contestant Grace Jackson as recently as December last year.

It now appears the pair are back together again and potentially looking to rekindle their romance as Rashford looks to rediscover his football happiness.

After signing for Barcelona, Rashford told Sport: "I need to be happy to play my best football. For me personally… Football is my life. You know?

"It's been my life since I was very, very young. Actually, I don't know anything else. So the bond I have, not only with my career but with sport in general, is huge and I don't expect it to go away.

"But yes, it's always good to be happy when you play football. It's the reason I started in this. You never know for sure, but from the beginning I have felt comfortable.

"On the pitch, of course I'll learn more with each game. But the starting point is very good. The more matches that come, the more I'll learn. Barca is the easiest place to enjoy and learn football."
