According to Fabrizio Romano, Napoli have had positive talks with Rasmus Hojlund's representatives as the player is willing to make a move back to Italy. The striker, however, has laid down certain conditions, which include guarantees of his staying at the club on a long-term basis and not just a mere loan move. According to The Standard, Villarreal have agreed to pay a transfer fee of €30 million (£26m/$35m) to Chelsea to secure the transfer for Veiga. Arsenal's London rivals eye move for Jurrien's brother Quinten

According to The Guardian, West Ham were earlier looking to sign Portuguese midfielder Mateus Fernandes from Southampton but their pursuit of the 21-year-old has hit a roadblock as the Saints are unwilling to let the youngster leave, as they aim to return to the top division this season.

According to L’Equipe, Wrexham have enquired about the availability of Welsh midfielder Jordan James as they look to sign the Rennes star for a fee in the region of €5 million (£4.3m/$5.8m). The Red Dragons, however, will face competition from Serie A club Parma, who want the player on loan this season with an option to buy.

Arsenal close to signing Spurs target Eze

According to The Athletic, Arsenal have hijacked arch-rivals Tottenham's Eze transfer bid and are now close to signing the England international, after the attacking midfielder gave his green signal to a move to Emirates Stadium.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy was in talks with his Palace counterpart Steve Paris and had an agreement with the Eagles and the player but are now ready to focus on alternatives if Eze opts for a move to their rivals.

According to the Daily Mail, Rico Lewis will soon officially sign a five-year contract with City. The England defender broke into Guardiola's squad during the 2022-23 campaign and made 44 appearances in all competitions last season, playing both in central midfield and at right-back.
