Man United Make Goalkeeper Decision Amid Onana and Bayindir Uncertainty

Man United are reportedly not expected to sign a new goalkeeper this summer despite ongoing issues with duo Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir.

Ruben Amorim was adamant that he didn’t ‘drop’ Onana, 29, for their 1-0 Premier League defeat to Arsenal on Sunday (Augst 17).

"No, I didn’t drop Onana from the squad," Amorim said post-match. "I didn’t drop one of the other two from the squad (Bayindir, Heaton).0

“So it’s not the case of dropping Onana. It’s not putting Onana in just one week without seeing the game, without time, with training."

Bayindir, who took his place for the defeat to Arsenal has come under immense scrutiny for failing to stop the cross from reaching Riccardo Calafiori for the winning goal.

According to reports from talkSPORT, United aren’t currently pursuing a deal to sign a new goalkeeper this summer.

United have been linked with several big games over the summer, Gianluigi Donnarumma, who is surplus to requirements at Paris Saint-Germain, and Aston Villa’s Emi Martinez.
