Liverpool have reportedly cooled their interest in Real Madrid star Rodrygo, with Arne Slot's side putting their faith in Federico Chiesa instead.

Liverpool have been linked with Rodrygo amid reports he is free to leave Madrid this summer. But after Chiesa came off the bench to score in the Reds' 4-2 win over Bournemouth on Friday, The Mirror states that the Italian will stay at Anfield and a Rodrygo pursuit is unlikely.

Chiesa had a very underwhelming first season at Liverpool, although injuries and a lack of game time didn't help his cause. But his superb strike against the Cherries has meant he has 'won over his team-mates'.
