Manchester United v Arsenal - Premier League
Manchester United have been urged to sell Altay Bayindir after he was at fault for an early Arsenal goal by Riccardo Calafiori at Old Trafford on Sunday.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Manager Ruben Amorim selected Bayindir ahead of Andre Onana for the visit of Arsenal but saw his goalkeeper make an early mistake that gifted the Gunners a goal. The goalkeeper was outmuscled by William Saliba from a corner, allowing Calafiori the simple chance of nodding home the opener.

WHAT THE FANS & PUNDITS ARE SAYING
Manchester United fans were quick to vent their fury on social media.
Supporter @owenthfc_ posted: "Bayindir somehow even worse than Onana."
And @TheFergusonWay added: "I would sell Bayindir for a fistful of peanuts."
There was also criticism from @AidanWalshMUFC, who wrote on X: "The state of Bayindir, pathetic."
Football correspondents were also shocked by Bayindir's goalkeeping.
Manchester United reporter Samuel Luckhurst wrote: "Bayindir from a corner. Again. Hopeless. How he is starting ahead of Heaton, never mind Onana, is beyond me."
And football writer Henry Winter added: "Everyone been saying it. Manchester United need a reliable, durable goalkeeper. Onana unconvincing. Bayindir even less convincing, gifts Calafiori chance. Spent all this money to strengthen the attack but overlooked a glaring weakness in goal."

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Manchester United have invested heavily this summer and bolstered their attack by bringing in Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko but have been undone by yet another defensive mistake. Goalkeeping has been an issue at Old Trafford for some time now, with Onana guilty of a string of high-profile errors last season, but Bayindir does not appear to be the answer to the Red Devils' problems either.
DID YOU KNOW?
Arsenal have scored 31 goals from corners in the Premier League since the start of 2023-24. Liverpool are next on the list with just 11 from the same period.

WHAT NEXT FOR MAN UTD?
Manchester United still have time left in the transfer window to add to their squad, although it remains to be seen if they will sign a new goalkeeper. In the meantime, Ruben Amorim's team will head to Craven Cottage next to take on Fulham.
