Isak goes on STRIKE amid ongoing Liverpool pursuit
Alexander Isak is refusing to play in Newcastle United's Premier League opener against Aston Villa amid his desperation to join Liverpool this summer.
According to the Daily Mail, Isak, 25, has made himself unavailable for the Magpies' trip to Villa Park on Saturday as the saga surrounding his future looks set to continue. The Sweden international had already told Newcastle he does not wish to play for them again after Liverpool had an initial £110 million ($149m) offer rejected by the St. James' Park club, who insist their star man is not for sale.
Tottenham defender Spence set to sign new contract
Djed Spence will soon sign a new contract with Tottenham after breaking into the starting XI under Ange Postecoglou last season.
Spence is set to sign a new contract with Tottenham, according to Paul O'Keefe and Fabrizio Romano. The Spurs defender joined the north London side back in 2022 but was given next to no first-team opportunities for three years before finally coming back into the starting XI picture at the start of last season.

Roma have reportedly submitted an offer to sign Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho this summer worth £20 million ($27m). The Athletic has reported that Serie A side Roma have submitted an official bid worth £20m for Sancho this summer, as the England international continues to look for a move away from Manchester United. However, the Blues eventually decided to pay a penalty fee to back out of their commitment.

Fulham are reportedly considering a shock move for Manchester United outcast Rasmus Hojlund as AC Milan continue talks to sign the Dane. The 22-year-old has been the subject of transfer interest from AC Milan this summer following the Red Devils' move for Benjamin Sesko earlier this summer. The striker is reportedly now open to a move away from Old Trafford.
The Daily Mail have now reported that Hojlund has now been approached by Premier League side Fulham over a summer move. The Cottagers are preparing for Rodrigo Muniz to leave Craven Cottage this summer with Atalanta hot on his heels, and are therefore now looking at Hojlund as a replacement.

Newcastle United are keeping their eye on a number of strikers this summer amid the uncertainty over Alexander Isak's future as the Swedish striker continues to push for a move to Liverpool. Reports in Italy have suggested that Manchester United's exiled striker Rasmus Hojlund is now open to leaving Manchester United this summer after having earlier been against leaving Old Trafford. Additonally, the Danish striker's father, Anders, has now told AC Milan that his son is ready to move to Italy, as the Serie A giants look to launch a move.
As per Gazzetta dello Sport, the delegation of the Italian side directly reached out to Hojlund's entourage, and the report has suggested that the Dane's father, Anders, indicated that his son is now open to a move away from Old Trafford.

Wrexham are poised to smash their transfer record again with the signing of Ipswich Town forward Nathan Broadhead in a deal which could rise to £10 million.
