Tottenham Favorite Erik Lamela Announces Retirement

Tottenham Hotspur fans bid farewell to one of their most cherished former stars as Erik Lamela announces his retirement from professional football.

The 33-year-old spent eight years in North London, making 257 appearances, scoring 37 goals, and providing 42 assists in the process.

Lamela left Tottenham in the summer of 2021, signing for La Liga side Sevilla before joining Greek giants AEK Athens last year.

Spurs fans will likely rememeber him for his absurd rabona goal against arch-rivals Arsenal, a finish that would go on to win the 2021 Puskas Award.

The Argentinian will now start his coaching journey with former club Sevilla.
