PSG Manager Luis Enrique Set to Escape Punishment After Joao Pedro Incident
PSG manager Luis Enrique is expected to avoid disciplinary action after an altercation with Chelsea’s Joao Pedro during the Club World Cup final.
Enrique, 55, had an altercation with Chelsea forward Joao Pedro following PSG’s 3-0 defeat to the Premier League side in the FIFA Club World Cup final.
The Spaniard appeared to slap Pedro and grab him by the throat as tensions boiled over after the final whistle.
Per L'Equipe, FIFA have yet to open a formal investigation into Enrique’s actions, with no questioning taking place.
As a result, Enrique is free to be in the dugout for PSG’s Super Cup game with Europa League champions Tottenham on Wednesday (August 13).
