West Ham open talks with Southampton for Fernandes

West Ham United are in talks with Southampton for Mateus Fernandes.

TalkSPORT says West Ham have made their move for Fernandes this week.

Saints are expected to demand at least 330m for the young midfielder, who impressed in a relegation campaign.

Southampton have already rejected a 327m offer from Everton from Tyler Dibling in recent days.

Fernandes moved to St Mary's a year ago from Sporting CP, signing a deal to 2029.
