Gonzalo Garcia Signs New Real Madrid Contract Following Club World Cup Breakthrough

Real Madrid have rewarded rising star Gonzalo Garcia with a new contract after his standout performances in the Club World Cup.

The 21-year-old enjoyed a surprise starring role for Xabi Alonso’s side throughout their FIFA Club World Cup campaign, scoring four goals in his six games.

Garcia’s fine form earned him the tournament’s Golden Boot Award, and Real Madrid appear to have a lot of faith in his ability to lead the line.

The striker has now put pen to paper on a new five-year deal with the Spanish giants, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2030.

It’s understood that new manager Alonso was a key factor in Garcia’s decision to sign a new deal having previously been put up for sale.
