Liverpool have shifted to their attention to Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola as an alternative for Newcastle United's Alexander Isak.

Liverpool have seen a 3110M bid turned down by Newcastle, who value Isak at closer to 3150M despite the Sweden international being desperate to leave the club. The Premier League champions have spent nearly 3300M this summer and are unlikely to match Newcastle evaluation which is seen as far too high.0

Although Barcola is a different type of player to Isak as he plays as a left sided forward rather than a central striker he bagged 41 goal contributions in 64 appearances last season and clearly has an eye for goal. A deal for the 22 year old is possible especilly Newcastle lost out on the signing of Benjamin Sesko to Manchester United which further halts the progress for Liverpool to snap up Isak.0

Reports state that he is not essential for PSG boss Luis Enrique, who can also call on megastars like Desire Doue, Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to fill his forward-line. PSG paid 343.6m to sign Barcola from Lyon in 2023 and would likely ask close to double if a deal is discussed this summer, far less than what Isak would have cost.0
