Chelsea accelerate interest for Man Utd winger Garnacho as deal advances due to Sesko move

Chelsea are to step up attempts to sign Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United this week after Benjamin Sesko's move was announced.

The Argentine winger has been in United’s so called “bomb squad” since the end of the season and has been deemed surplus to requirements by manager Ruben Amorim who is also keen to sell Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia this summer.0

Chelsea chose not to buy Sancho, overriding an obligation of up to 325M by paying a 35m penalty to United who are now waiting for a bid for Garnacho who, as reported by journalist David Ornstein wants nothing but a move to West London.0

Garnacho has played no part in United’s pre-season and is thought to be available for about 350M. However, reports state that Chelsea are reluctant to pay such a fee for the 22 year old who rejected an offer to link up with Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr and desires to stay in Europe.0

As reported by Ornstein, the deal for Garnacho has accelerated as United have agreed a deal worth 373.7m with RB Leipzig to sign Sesko. Garnacho is sold on a switch to Chelsea and his price may even be lowered now that Sesko is joining United. He has been waiting for an official approach from Chelsea which should come over the next few weeks in what is a developing story.0
