Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Malik Tillman has been ruled out of Friday’s pre-season finale against Chelsea after sustaining a knock, manager Erik Ten Hag confirmed Wednesday.

The injury sustained during training has delayed the 23-year-old from his debut following his reported €35 million move from PSV this summer."I can't say (when Tillman will be back). We'll have to wait and see if it works out day by day," Ten Hag told Bild.

Tillman emerged as a breakout star for the USMNT at the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup, tallying five goal contributions in the team’s run to the final.
