OFFICIAL: Chelsea Confirm Long-Awaited Signing of Brazilian Wonderkid Estevao

Chelsea have officially confirmed the signing of Brazilian sensation Estevao Willian in a deal long in the making.

The now 18-year-old agreed to join Chelsea from boyhood club Palmeiras 14-months ago arrived in London on Monday for his first training session with his new club.

Estevao’s last game for Palmeiras came against Chelsea in the FIFA Club World Cup, in which he managed to score an impressive goal from a tight angle.

Chelsea have now officially announced the young Brazilian, who has reportedly signed a seven-year deal with the club.

Speaking to the club’s in-house media team about the move, he said: "I am very happy, it feels very rewarding to represent Chelsea, one of the biggest clubs in the world. I am very happy and I hope to help the team in the best way possible.

“I had almost a year and a half to wait until I arrived here. But it has been a year and a half that I have worked hard and have done my best to get here in the best shape possible.

“I am very, very excited. It is a new experience in my life, a new stage. I am looking forward to it and hope that it will go as well as possible.”
