Oliver Glasner has issued a plea to the Crystal Palace hierarchy, urging them not to offload their top talents such as Eberechi Eze, cautioning that it could throw their season off track.

Eze, 27, is on Arsenal's radar, with the Gunners making him their prime target as the summer transfer window enters its final month.

Palace skipper Marc Guehi is also rumoured to be on Liverpool's wishlist, with the Reds believed to be leading the chase as he enters the last year of his contract. Another Eagles' star is also on Liverpool's radar.

Spurs have set their sights on Adam Wharton for next summer, although they'd be open to bringing the midfielder onboard this year. Eze, on the other hand, is contracted until 2027 but has a £68million buyout clause.

Arsenal, having already splashed out £194m, are aiming to secure a deal for less than that, reportedly around £60m, but one that includes bonuses for Palace. The Gunners initiated discussions over a move for the England international in late June, reports the Mirror.

With the £63.7m acquisition of top target Viktor Gyokeres now wrapped up, Arsenal's attention is firmly on Eze. However, Glasner has warned Palace that they risk a repeat of last season's 'false start' if they let go of their key players.

In a chat with Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung during their pre-season tour, the Eagles' manager expressed his frustration over Palace's lack of movement in the transfer market, having only splashed out £3m on a reserve goalkeeper and a left-back.

This is despite their qualification for European football following their FA Cup victory and interest in Guehi, Wharton and Eze.

"Even though all the players are still here, we haven't made the most of the transfer window so far," a disgruntled Glasner confessed. "I was promised that we would be more active and bring in the new players earlier this year.

"As it stands, I have 17 outfield players. I hope we don't lose any more. If that happens and we get four new ones on deadline day like last year, another false start is possible."

Palace's dealings have been hampered by uncertainty over which European competition they'll participate in next season.

Glasner's team were relegated from the Europa League to the Conference League after being found guilty of violating UEFA's multi-club ownership rules, a decision they've since appealed.
