Alisha Lehmann is battling for her title of being the "world's most beautiful footballer".

Swiss footballing superstar Alisha currently boasts a major following from fans, earning an impressive 17 million followers on Instagram. But despite her beauty, Alisha still knows how to land impressive goals, scoring several times for her teams.

But while she was proving her worth on the pitch, fans were swooning over her for her gorgeous looks and appearance whilst playing. This led Alisha to be branded as the world's most beautiful footballer in the women's league.

However, a new competitor has entered the ring and is now giving Alisha, 26, a run for her money, as fans have started to notice a new blonde bombshell. Several football lovers have now turned their attention to Swedish striker Alice Sondergaard.

While she may not have appeared during the Women's Euros in Switzerland this summer, Alice is grabbing attention for her stunning looks as well as her skillful footwork. Despite just being 22, she has already made big waves in women's football - having recently just signed to Italian side Genoa.

Alice got her first call to represent her nation internationally back in 2018, when she was just 15 years old. Despite her early calling, she was unable to bag herself a spot on the Swedish squad for the Women's Euros, which eventually saw them crash out in the quarter finals to the Lionesses.

Now, having missed out on the international tournament season, Alice is hoping to show her skills and keep Genoa in the Serie A Women's League in Italy. The team are currently on a winning streak after they were able to secure promotion to the top league in Italy for the first time in the club's history.

After making the announcement of her move to Genoa, she took to her social media to make the deed public, uploading a carousel of snaps featuring the footballing prodigy wearing the iconic shirt. Fans of the Swedish superstar were quick to fawn over her beauty and congratulated her on the major career move.

"It’s official, the most beautiful footballer alive," one enamoured fan penned in the comments section. A second user joked: "All of a sudden, I'm a Genoa fan!"

A third commended: "She is beautiful and talented." Whilst a fourth chimed in: "I've always been a Genoa fan."

Sondergaard has already amassed an impressive following on her social media thanks to her well-calculated footwork. She already boasts a healthy following of 58.8k followers on Instagram, and shares variety of snaps of her life both on and off the pitch.

This is not Alice's first stint in Italian football, however, having already played for the likes of Hellas Verona and Sampdoria in previous seasons. Genoa are set to kick off their journey to a new piece of silverware in their first clash of the season against AC Milan in the coming weeks.

But while Alisha remains on top in terms for social media following, the true clash will come in just a few weeks time. Genoa and Juventus - Alisha's current team are due to face off against each other on November 11 as their sixth game of the season.
