Newcastle Look to Hijack Spurs Move for Evann Guessand Amid Transfer Stalemate

Newcastle are considering a move for Evann Guessand after Tottenham’s talks slow down, with the Morgan Gibbs-White situation further complicating Spurs’ transfer plans.

According to Africa Foot, Eddie Howe’s side are keeping tabs in the 24-year-old’s situation but are yet to open negotiations with current club Nice.

The report adds that Tottenham are also interested in Guessand but talks are “slowing” as they prioritise a move for Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White.

Guessand is expected to leave Nice this summer following his breakout season in which he scored 13 goals and provided nine assists in 42 games across all competitions.

On the continent, Villareal and Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce have been linked with the Ivory Coast international.
