Bayern warn they won’t be messed around in Kane backup chase
Bayern Munich’s search for a reliable backup to Harry Kane has encountered a setback, with VfB Stuttgart reportedly pushing back against their pursuit of rising forward Nick Woltemade.
The Bavarian club has already submitted two formal offers, both of which were quickly rejected, as the Germans remain firm on their valuation of the 23-year-old striker.
According to Bild, after failing to convince Stuttgart with their initial offers, the Bavarans are now turning to their top brass to try and break the deadlock.0
CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen and sporting director Max Eberl are reportedly ready to hold face-to-face talks with Stuttgart’s leadership in a bid to close the gap between the two clubs' valuations.
With Kane set to turn 32 on July 28, Bayern Munich are well aware of the need for a long-term backup who can gradually develop into a more prominent role.0
