Napoli are on the verge of signing Vanja Milinkovic-Savic for €21 million with the Torino 'keeper touted as a potential replacement for Andre Onana at Man United.

Man United are understood to be weighing up whether they should sign a replacement for Onana, 29, following a string of high-profile mistakes between the sticks.

Several reports have linked Milinkovic-Savic, 28, with a move to Old Trafford following his impressive season at Torino, but it looks like United are going to miss out to Napoli.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the Serbia international is close to joining Antonio Conte’s side, while Cyril Ngonge is likely to go the other way on loan.

Leeds United were also interested in Milinkovic-Savic as the Premier League newbies wrestle with their own goalkeeping issues.
