West Ham Join Jack Grealish Transfer Race Amid Key Challenge as Man City Winger Seeks Exit

West Ham have reportedly joined the race to sign Manchester City winger Jack Grealish, but a key issue remains as the player tries to force a summer move.

The 29-year-old doesn’t seem to have a future at Man City after being left out of their squad for this summer’s FIFA Club World Cup.

Pep Guardiola is understood to want to trim the fat in his squad and have a smaller group of players to use in the upcoming 2025-26 season.

According to Ben Jacobs, West Ham are hoping to take advantage of that and bring Grealish to East London, but the winger’s wages are proving to be a major stumbling block.

Grealish is currently on a massive 3300,000-a-week contract at City, a wage that Graham Potter’s side are unable to match.

It was previously reported that Man City are starting to come to terms with the fact a loan for Grealish is more likely than a permanent move this summer.
