Chelsea will "immediatly" move for Morgan Rogers is Aston Villa make Nicolas Jackson offer

Aston Villa's pursuit of striker Nicolas Jackson would reportedly "immediately trigger" a move for Morgan Rogers from Chelsea.

Chelsea are understood to be increasingly open to letting Jackson, 24, leave the club this summer following the arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.

Aston Villa are one of several Premier League clubs interested in the Senegal international, and as it happens, Chelsea retain an interest in Rogers, 22.

According to Telegraph journalist Matt Law, any move from Unai Emery’s side for Jackson would launch a Chelsea move for Rogers.

The England international is expected to cost more that 350 million following his impressive 2024-25 season, in which he scored 14 goals and provided 13 assists in 54 games.

He said on the London is Blue podcast: "I'm not told by anyone at Chelsea but I'm told by people on the outside that if Villa do go for Nicolas Jackson, it will immediately trigger a bid for Morgan Rogers from Chelsea.0

“Obviously, Unai (Emery) has worked with him and kind of promoted Nicolas Jackson in many ways, didn't want to sign another striker.0

“The only way I see Villa going for Jackson is if Ollie Watkins goes, because I just don't, with us (Villa) not in the Champions League next season, see a scenario where we carry Jackson along with Watkins."
