Barcelona sensation Yamal raised eyebrows when he was pictured with adult content model Fati Vazquez. Snaps of the two were published by Spanish publication Lecturas, showing the duo on a jet ski on the island of Pantelleria in southern Sicily.

Despite the 12-year age gap, Yamal and Vazquez both posted pictures from the same location, enjoying a boat trip, relaxing by the pool and flying in a helicopter.

However, Yamal has distanced himself from a romantic relationship as he posted a picture with ex-Barcelona star Neymar in Rio de Janeiro, with the caption: “Single and happy, this is Brazil!”

And now, Vazquez has also addressed the rumours of romantic links, hitting out at critics who accused her of taking a shine to Yamal for financial gain.

“I want to make it clear that I do not have and have never had a financial interest in this story. I've been an independent woman since I was 18,” she told Spanish television programme Y ahora Sonsoles.

“I have been working on social networks as a content creator for more than 10 years, long before Lamine was a public figure. My career is solid, professional and autonomous.”

Vazquez then dropped a bombshell when she revealed she was surprised to “discover” that another girl was allegedly with Yamal before she had arrived.

“During my stay, I discovered that another girl had been there just before me and that, for a matter of hours, we did not get to coincide,” she said. “This information took me by surprise, like anyone else who was in a similar situation.

“It has been insinuated that if Lamine was not a public figure, I would not have noticed him. But it's also fair to say that, if I didn't have the trajectory and visibility I have, he probably wouldn't have noticed me either."

She added: “My words do not seek to confront, but to close a cycle with honesty. I deeply thank those who have decided not to judge from prejudice and have chosen to inform themselves before attacking me.”

Yamal further rubbished speculation of a romance when speaking to gossip expert Javi de Hoyos, who claimed: “He categorically denies that he's with Vazquez; he says they have nothing going on.

“Lamine didn't go to this vacation spot alone, but with other Barca team-mates,” De Hoyos added.
