Victor Osimhen might not move to the Premier League this summer despite Manchester United's 'timid' attempts to sign the striker.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Osimhen's future remains uncertain, as he is set to return to Napoli this summer at the end of his loan deal with Galatasaray. The Italian champions are happy to let the striker leave as they plan to cash in on the Nigerian and spend the money on their own transfer activities, according to Corriere del Mezzogiorno. The report, however, adds that Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis will not compromise on the player's €75 million (£63m/$85m) release clause.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The prolific forward's massive price tag could prove to be a major hindrance in his move to the Premier League, as United are the only English club that have made 'timid' efforts to sign the 26-year-old at the moment.
DID YOU KNOW?
Per Fabrizio Romano, Osimhen remains a priority for Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal, who are reportedly willing to offer a whopping €120m salary over three years. They are ready to activate his release clause and are now working to negotiate a deal with the player after getting approval from their new manager, Simone Inzaghi.

WHAT NEXT FOR VICTOR OSIMHEN?
After finishing the 2024-25 Turkish Super Lig campaign as the highest goalscorer and helping Galatasaray win the league title, the club are now keen on signing the player permanently. However, their €16m per season wages offer is way less than what the Saudi giants are offering.
