Manchester United are reportedly among a number of clubs keeping tabs on Gianluigi Donnarumma's situation at Paris Saint-Germain, as contract negotiations between the Italian star and the newly crowned Champions League winners continue to stall.

Donnarumma, 26, is widely recognised as one of Europe's top goalkeepers and played a key role in PSG's victorious Champions League campaign, which ended with a 5-0 demolition of Inter Milan in Saturday night's final. However, his long-term future seems uncertain.

The ex-AC Milan player's current contract runs out next summer and discussions over an extension have already been held with the club, who have put forward a proposal.

However, Foot Mercato have revealed that Donnarumma has a host of admirers among Europe's elite who are ready to swoop if the gifted goalkeeper decides against signing a new contract.

United are among these clubs and a move for Donnarumma would be attractive given there are still question marks over Andre Onana following another inconsistent season for the Cameroon star.

Whether they would be able to compete with some of the other teams for Donnarumma's signature remains to be seen, though, with the likes of Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid also on the prowl.

United have already been linked with a PSG star this summer, with the club 'holding talks' with Goncalo Ramos' entourage to discuss a potential move. The French giants forked out £55million to secure the signature of the striker in 2023, but they are now looking to cut their losses after his underwhelming stint at the Parc des Princes.
