- Bayern, Arsenal also monitoring the 25-year-old
WHAT HAPPENED?
According to Corriere dello Sport, AC Milan have set a €130 million price tag on Portuguese forward Leao amid strong interest from Bayern Munich, Arsenal, and several clubs from Saudi Arabia. While his official release clause stands at €175 million, Milan are reportedly open to negotiating, especially after a mixed 2024–25 campaign.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
The 25-year-old winger made 50 appearances across all competitions last season, scoring 12 goals and providing 13 assists for Milan. German giants Bayern Munich are targeting a left winger regardless of Leroy Sane's contract situation as they want to add a back-up for their No.1 striker Harry Kane. Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta and Arsenal’s management are also keeping a close eye on developments.
Al Nassr, Al Hilal, and Al Ittihad - three of Saudi Arabia’s biggest clubs - are also showing strong interest in the Portuguese international and are reportedly willing to offer him a staggering €25 million per year.
DID YOU KNOW?
Leao’s current market value stands at €75 million, which is significantly lower than Milan’s €130 million asking price and well below his €175 million release clause. The Portuguese forward joined Milan in 2019 and is under contract with the club until 2028.
