David and Victoria Beckham's net worth is closing in on King Charles' fortune
David and Victoria Beckham are fast closing in on the same net worth as King Charles III.
The former Manchester United star and his Spice Girl wife, who have been married for nearly 25 years, saw their wealth skyrocket by a staggering £45million between 2024 and 2025.
According to the Sunday Times Rich List, this takes their total fortune to £500m. Meanwhile, King Charles, who ascended to the throne following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in September 2022, saw his own finances grow by £30m during the same period. His total wealth now stands at £640m – matching that of ex-Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife, Akshata Murty.
Beckham, who celebrated his 50th birthday earlier this month, amassed his wealth and fame through a glittering football career. The right-midfielder came through Manchester United's famed youth ranks before signing his first professional contract at Old Trafford in 1992.
After netting 85 goals and registering 121 assists in 394 appearances, clinching six Premier League titles, four domestic cups and a Champions League under the stewardship of Sir Alex Ferguson, Beckham transferred to Real Madrid in a £25m deal in 2003. After a four-year stint at the Bernabeu, Beckham spent the twilight of his career with LA Galaxy, and had loan spells with AC Milan and PSG.

David and Victoria's influence continues to grow
Beckham has also added to his fortune off the pitch. His prowess on the field has been matched by his success off it, as he became a celebrity in his own right away from the game. His marriage to former Spice Girl Victoria Adams catapulted him into the limelight, making him a household name.
In a lucrative move, Beckham signed a 10-year deal in 2021 to become Qatar's tourism ambassador, reportedly landing £11m a year. Back in 2014, he made headlines by purchasing an MLS expansion team for £18m, which finally kicked off as Inter Miami CF in March 2020.
More recently, Beckham joined forces with ex-United team-mate Gary Neville and others to take over Salford City, a club close to his heart.
Beckham expressed his deep connection to Salford, saying: "I grew up in Salford... I have such fond memories of my time living there and the place and its people played such an important part in my early life in football. Salford City is at the heart of its community... it has a rich history and I am delighted to be a part of the next chapter."
His personal brand empire, DRJB Holdings, has also added to his fortune over the years. Meanwhile, Victoria carved out a name for herself as a member of the 1990s pop sensation, the Spice Girls – who have sold over 100m records globally and still hold the title of the best-selling girl group of all time.
However, Victoria also ventured into the fashion industry after her music career took off, launching her own label, VB, in September 2008. She further expanded her brand with the introduction of Victoria Beckham Beauty in September 2019.
Despite their success, King Charles III is still £140m wealthier than the Beckhams, largely due to his Sandringham and Balmoral estates. Additionally, managing the Duchy of Cornwall – a private estate established nearly 700 years ago to provide financial support to the heir apparent – is believed to have significantly boosted his wealth.
This, however, pales in comparison to the total net worth of the Royal Family, which was estimated to be around £22billion in 2021, accumulated from various sources including the Crown Estate.
