WHAT HAPPENED?

Simone Inzaghi's side booked their place in the final in Munich later this month with an incredible 4-3 win over Barcelona, the visitors coming from 2-0 down to lead 3-2 before Simone Inzaghi's turned the tie on its head once more. Davide Frattesi netted an extra-time winner in a game that had the football world catching its breath.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Barcelona had been seconds away from progressing to the final themselves, Raphinha putting them 3-2 up on the night with just three minutes of the 90 to play. Francesco Acerbi, operating as an emergency forward, brilliantly dispatched an equaliser, though, setting up the extra 30 minutes in which Frattesi finished the job for Inter.
