Los Blancos are keen to bring the Frenchman to the Santiago Bernabeu and unite him with compatriot Kylian Mbappe but face tough negotiations with Arsenal. The Gunners are believed to be demanding a hefty fee for their star defender and as a result, Madrid are happy to back off and sign Saliba on a cheaper deal in 2026, or wait until his contract expires in 2027 and bring him in as a free agent.

Bayern Munich are worried they will miss out on a financial boost as Tottenham will decide against signing Mathys Tel permanently.
Tel arrived at Tottenham at the end of the winter transfer window and was handed the No. 11 shirt. Tottenham have the option to sign Tel permanently for a fee of €50m (£43m)but do not look like taking it up as the striker is effectively fifth choice now in north London, according to Bild. The striker is described as having been "anything but good" during his time with Spurs and the fear is he's turned into a flop.
