David Beckham's Inter Miami will step up their bid to lure Manchester City superstar Kevin De Bruyne to the MLS.
De Bruyne became a free agent at the start of 2025, and has announced he will leave City at the end of this season. Inter Miami have been keeping close tabs on the situation after making him one of their main targets ahead of next season, which starts in October.
It's understood Beckham and his fellow club bosses have let it be known they want to offer De Bruyne a deal. Beckham knows landing someone of De Bruyne’s reputation and calibre would be a huge coup for Inter Miami - and the MLS in general.
But he faces strong competition from the Saudi Pro League. De Bruyne considered leaving City last summer following strong interest in him from a host of Saudi Arabian clubs.
But he chose to stay with the champions after deciding not to uproot his young family.

The chance to live in the United States, and Miami in particular, appeals to De Bruyne and his wife Michele Lacroix.
But the Belgium international also knows he could secure a much more lucrative pay day if he chose to go to Saudi instead.
De Bruyne will turn 34 in June, and knows his next move could be the last one of his long and glittering career.
City bosses are open to erecting a statue of De Bruyne outside the Etihad as a lasting tribute to his remarkable contribution to the club's success.
De Bruyne has won 16 trophies since joining City in 2015, and will look to finish on a high by helping Pep Guardiola's side win the FA Cup.
He has lifted the Premier League on six occasions, the FA Cup twice and the League Cup five times. The midfield maestro, who was the PFA Players' Player of the Year in 2019-20 and 2020-21, also won the Champions League as part of City's famous Treble in the 2022-23 season.
However, injuries have taken their toll and he has looked a fading force this season, having played only 21 times in the Premier League - eight of those appearances as a substitute - and scoring just two goals.
Speaking ahead of the Manchester derby, manager Pep Guardiola said: "Myself and the club had to take a decision. It is not easy as he has been extraordinary. Me, Txiki Begiristain and the club made the decision - and it is what it is."
Guardiola added: "The club has to move forward, move on. To replicate his numbers is so difficult. To say bye to these players is so difficult You can only be grateful. The club gave everything to him - and he gave everything to us.
"I'm incredibly grateful and sad that it will be over in two months. He's the only player who has finished his contract. The rest are under contract but still there are many things the club and myself haven't decided on."
