The pair tend to keep their life away from the football pitch private, but often share glimpses into their romance on social media.

But things got very public for Melanie this week as reports emerged that she had been robbed of her £62,000 Hermes Birkin bag and a Rolex watch last month.

Melanie had her high-value bling snatched outside an Italian restaurant in Cheshire on March 29.

Liam Ross, 25, from the Wibsey area of Bradford, has been charged with the high-value robbery, the Daily Mail reports.

The alleged thief is claimed to have taken the ultra-luxury designer goods in the heart of the picturesque Cheshire village.

Ross appeared before Chester Magistrates Court on Friday, also facing a charge of supplying cannabis.

He's due back in court at Chester Crown Court in May.

Sparks flying

Melanie was first spotted alongside Onana at the 2019 Ballon d'Or ceremony, where the then-Ajax star finished seventh in the standings for the Yashin Trophy - an award for the best goalkeeper of the year.

Since then the pair have regularly featured on each other's Instagram pages and Melanie has been supporting Onana across four different countries.

The social media star and model has been in the stands supporting Onana at Ajax in the Netherlands, Inter Milan in Italy, Manchester United in England and away on international duty for Cameroon.

The couple now live in Alderley Edge, a magnet for Premier League stars past and present, nicknamed the "Knightsbridge of the North".

Tying the knot

Melanie and Onana appeared to have tied the knot back in 2023, with Melanie sharing snaps in her wedding dress on social media in February of the same year.

Pictures from the special day show that they were married at five-star Paris hotel The Penninsula.

Melanie, who referred to February as 'the month of love', wore a dazzling bejeweled dress for the wedding.

Reports have also suggested that the pair have a son together, but neither Melanie or Onana have shared pictures of their kid online and have chosen to keep him out of the limelight for now.
