Sandro Tonali's fiancee Juliette Pastore joined the Toon Army

Newcastle United stars' WAGs were snapped joining up with the Toon Army ahead of the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool.

The Magpies are looking to end a 70-year wait for a domestic trophy and droves of black and white have arrived in the capital to support their heroes. The Wembley final has seen thousands of Geordies make the 600-mile round journey.

And those fans have been lapping up the occasion in Covent Garden, with pre-match gatherings beginning in Trafalgar Square on Saturday evening, ahead of the Sunday afternoon kick-off.

Among those involved in the excitement, was Juliette Pastore, the fiancee of Newcastle and Italy midfielder Sandro Tonali.

A picture posted by Joelinton's partner Thays Gondim De Lira, who has also been getting involved with the celebrations, showed Juliette posing in front of a flag that had Tonali's face cropped onto the Birra Moretti logo.

Juliette has been a regular at St James' Park since Tonali made the switch from AC Milan in 2023. She was by his side when he stepped off the private jet to complete his move and appears to have settled into life in the North East.

There was more reason for the couple to be happy with their new life in Newcastle after the two announced their engagement earlier this month with a post on Instagram.

Newcastle return to Wembley two years after they were beaten 2-0 by Manchester United as Erik ten Hag secured his first trophy.

The Magpies last won a major trophy in 1969, when they lifted the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup. Their last major honour domestically was the 1955 FA Cup, while they've never lifted the League Cup.

Meanwhile, Liverpool head to Wembley looking to retain the League Cup following their extra-time victory last year, thanks to a Virgil van Dijk winner.

The Reds have won two of the last three League Cup finals and are the most successful club in the competition's history.
