York slip up again in bid to close down leaders Barnet after Forest Green draw

York’s hopes of catching runaway Vanarama National league leaders Barnet continued to fade after a 1-1 draw at home to third-placed Forest Green.
The Minstermen failed to return to winning ways at the LNER Community Stadium after the midweek defeat to Altrincham, leaving the Bees 11 points clear having played one game more.
Lewis Richardson fired York ahead in the 49th minute, latching onto a through ball and lifting over goalkeeper Fabian Mrozek for his first goal for the club.
But the lead lasted only four minutes as Harry Cardwell headed in Jordon Garrick’s cross.
