Altrincham stretch unbeaten run with victory at Gateshead

Phil Parkinson watched Altrincham extend their unbeaten run to nine matches with an excellent 1-0 victory away to Gateshead.

Kian Taylor struck the only goal after 14 minutes at Gateshead International Stadium to settle a tight contest between two Vanarama National League play-off hopefuls.

Altrincham are only three points behind fifth-placed Gateshead after they continued their superb run of form in 2025.

The visitors made the perfect start on the road when Alex Newby’s cross came for Preston loanee Taylor to fire home.

Parkinson’s side had further chances to extend their lead before they had to defend resolutely late on to delight the 145 Altrincham fans who made the trip to Gateshead.
