Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd hold Dorgu meeting, Slot plots Liverpool raid, Chelsea swap

The January transfer window closes in just over a week and there is still plenty of business to be done by Premier League sides in terms of outgoings and incomings.

Manchester United are still toying with the idea of letting both Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho leave this month, while Patrick Dorgu could come in as a replacement.

Arsenal are attempting to sign a forward after injuries to Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus, but their top targets Alexander Isak and Benjamin Sesko are unlikely to move this month.

Tottenham want to bolster Ange Postecoglou's depleted squad after another defeat, this time to Leicester, which leaves the Aussie boss clinging onto his job.

Chelsea are one of the main landing spots for Garnacho, as they continue to weigh up the prospect of a £60million bid, with Napoli and Antonio Conte still in the race.

Liverpool are likely to hold off on their business until the summer but have kept an eye on the market.

Liverpool and Chelsea chasing same left-back

Slavia Prague chairman Jaroslav Tvrdik has suggested that both Liverpool and Chelsea have expressed interest in 20-year-old wing-back El Hadji Malick Diouf.

Tvrdik also disclosed that Crystal Palace had a second, increased offer of around £14.3million turned down for the Senegal international.

The Eagles' initial bid was approximately £12.5m, but it seems they've returned with an improved proposal. Czech sources also hint at Brighton potentially joining the race.

Speaking to media outlet Kudy Bezi Zajic, Tvrdik said: "If Liverpool and Chelsea, who were also interested in him, had come with an offer of around 17-18 million euros, I would have hesitated to approach it differently from the perspective of promoting the club or the player's interest.

"If Chelsea comes, we wouldn't keep anyone. Nothing will change, it's just not possible objectively. One has to admit that the Czech league and Slavia have some limits.

"Even PSG, when it comes to breaking the bank, won't keep their player and he'll go to Real [Madrid]. We're part of a football chain and we're not at the top of it."

Dorgu warned over Man Utd move

Patrick Dorgu’s former Denmark under-19s coach Jens Olsen has warned the star about joining Manchester United before the transfer deadline. The Red Devils are chasing the services of the versatile Lecce player.

“If I have to be a little cheeky, I hope he chooses something other than Manchester United right now,” Olsen told Tipsbladet.

“I don't know if it's a bad fit, but they're just in a period where... I don't know if you can afford to say no to United, but maybe somewhere where there's a little more structure and where things fit in with his pace.

“Sometimes things have to go in the right order, if you can say it like that.”

Chelsea star keen to sign for Aston Villa

Chelsea star Axel Disasi is reportedly keen to join Aston Villa following transfer talks with Villans boss Unai Emery.

The 26-year-old has been a bit-part player at Stamford Bridge under Enzo Maresca and has started just four Premier League games this campaign.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Disasi has agreed personal terms with Villa following a direct talk with Emery.

The defender is attracting interest from a host of clubs around Europe but wants to join the west Midlands side. And he will get his move if Chelsea and Villa can reach a full transfer agreement.

Napoli return to Alejandro Garnacho talks

Napoli are set to hold further talks with Manchester United in the next few hours over Alejandro Garnacho.

Sky Sports claim that a meeting will be held as their interest in Kerim Adeyemi has waned.

United are said to be willing to part ways with Garnacho for a sizable fee, while Chelsea also wait in the wings.

Arne Slot to raid former club

Liverpool boss Arne Slot is reportedly eyeing up a move for Anis Hadj Moussa, who is currently at the Dutchman's former club Feyenoord.

Foot Mercato claim that there is concrete interest from the Reds in Moussa, along with Lille.

He arrived in Rotterdam after Slot left for Anfield, though Feyenoord are hoping to hold onto the forward until at least the summer.
