BBC host Emma Jones slams pervy fans in hilarious 'DM helpline' video on Instagram

Emma Jones has made another funny video exposing the creepy fans lurking in her social media DMs, highlighting how some people take things a little too far when it comes to simply wishing a happy new year

In a hilarious video, BBC Sport presenter Emma Jones has exposed more creepy messages she's been sent by pervy fans.

Jones has regularly used her social media channels to highlight sexist and inappropriate messages that land in her inbox. In January 2024, she released a funny skit on her social media where she pretended to chat with a fan called "Rodger" who took things a bit too far.

Now, she's created another video, this time giving advice to another fan named "Brian," who is struggling to get replies from his new year messages after he sent a DM saying "get your t*** out for 2025." She advised him to try sending alternative messages, and "Brian" ends up sharing even worse messages that are not suitable for the Daily Star to repeat.

In the caption, she wrote: "As you toast the New Year, please spare a thought for the volunteers at the DM Helpline who are working tirelessly to keep the Brians of the internet in check x."

She says: "You sent a message to a woman on the internet and she hasn't replied? Right ok, well you're in the right place Roger. What did the message say?"

The message then appears on screen, reading: "Av u got webcam. Wud luv to see your [expletive]." Emma responds: "Webcam? When was the last time you used a web cam Roger?" He replies: "'It's come in handy over the years'?"

"Ok, not the point, the point is it's deeply inappropriate to tell a woman on the internet you'd like to see her [expletive] in an opening message. I'd always advise our callers to open up with a question Roger. Oh you did ask a question?"

"Wud u shake them on cam for me," read the next message on screen. "Yeah not really the question I had in mind to be honest with you Roger," joked Jones.

"I was thinking more along the lines of 'hi, how are you? What are you up to this week?'. Yeah I know you want to see her [expletive] Roger but I'm guessing she hasn't shaken them for you on web cam after those messages? I thought not.

"Listen Roger my advice to you would be throw your web cam away and stop being so horny in your opening messages. Alright thanks Roger, happy New Year, stop being so horny. Take care, bye bye."

We will have to wait and see if these kind of message make there way into 2025 but you can bet Jones will be there to tell us all about it.
