Fans spot what Michael Olise did during Bayern Munich's Christmas video and it's divided opinion

The former Crystal Palace winger made the move to the Bundesliga in the summer and has impressed manager Vincent Kompany.

Fans weighed in with their take on Michael Olise’s involvement in Bayern Munich’s Christmas video – and not everyone agrees.

Olise, 23, signed for the German giants for a fee of £50m in the summer of 2024 (as per BBC Sport) after impressing at Crystal Palace for several seasons.

Since joining Vincent Kompany’s side, he seems to be enjoying life in Bavaria, having registered nine goals and nine assists in 23 appearances in all competitions as Bayern sit top of the Bundesliga heading into the festive period.

On Monday evening, the club posted a video to their official X account, which showed the squad – including the likes of Jamal Musiala, Harry Kane and Manuel Neuer – singing Christmas songs including ‘Jingle Bells’.

Kompany and Co belted out the festive anthem while they sported various Bayern Munich-themed Christmas attire - including jumpers and Santa hats.

Most of the squad seemed to be enjoying the moment, but fans spotted exactly what Olise was doing as his teammates burst into song.

While his colleagues joined in with the choir-like performance, he stood tight-lipped seeming to be less confident about his vocal abilities.

Fans could not help but give their thoughts on social media.

One said: “Bro did NOT wanna be involved.”

Another added: “He’s so cool."

A third commented: “You want me to sing? That’s not in my contract."

While a fourth did not see the funny side, they said: "Blud you ain't looking cool."

With a fifth saying: He’s begging it now. Just smile and sing along. You’re not too cool for this. You were at Crystal Palace a few months ago."

Another explained: "Upamecano and Coman ain’t singing either, let it rest."

Of course, it can be easy to forget how young footballers can be thrust into the limelight and may not necessarily be confident in front of a camera during the fledgling years of their career.

Even in press conferences, Olise is a man of few words but on the pitch his feet certainly do the talking. And despite some fans taking a dim view of him not singing, his job is to create and score goals, which he does most weeks.
