Arsenal could be offered the chance to sign a Paris Saint-Germain forward in January.
Bukayo Saka has suffered a concerning injury.
Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly set to offer Arsenal the opportunity to sign their sidelined forward, Randal Kolo Muani.
The Gunners have been dealt a blow with the news that key player Bukayo Saka is expected to be out for 'many weeks' due to a hamstring injury, leaving them considering options for his replacement in the upcoming January transfer window.
Saka, 23, has been one of Arsenal's most utilised outfield players this season, and without a natural right winger as a backup, his absence presents a significant challenge for Mikel Arteta. However, PSG's Kolo Muani could potentially provide a solution.
The 26-year-old, who was signed from Eintracht Frankfurt for £64.2m in the summer of 2023 amid interest from Manchester United, has found game time limited under Luis Enrique following Kylian Mbappe's departure.
Despite only starting two Ligue 1 matches this season and playing a mere 28 minutes in the past month, the French international is now available for loan.
According to the Evening Standard, the French champions are planning to offer him to several clubs in January, including Arsenal.
His arrival would free up the likes of Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus to switch to the right flank in Saka's absence.
Randal Kolo Muani of Paris Saint Germain has been linked with Arsenal.
Arteta has addressed the challenges faced with Saka sidelined, compounded by Raheem Sterling's injury which would have made him a contender to step in for the Gunners' Boxing Day clash against Ipswich Town.
"My focus honestly now is just about within the squad the resources we have to be as competitive as we possibly can," stated the Arsenal manager, not shutting down transfer prospects but placing emphasis on available talent at hand.
"We have many, many options to do that. And if something unbelievable [becomes] available and if the club is willing to do it, we'll have to consider it."
Arteta also mentioned that contingency plans were in place should injuries arise, though the simultaneous absence of Saka and Sterling was unexpected. "The preparation is done and we are ready if something happens," he asserted.
"Then, okay, if something has to happen, we will be open. But the main focus is now, how will we extract still a lot of potential that there is in this squad."
