Southampton part ways with manager Russell Martin
Southampton have parted ways with head coach Russell Martin just hours after their humiliating 5-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur at home. The club's U-21 coach Simon Rusk will take charge of the team on an interim basis.
The official statement from the club read: "We can confirm that we have taken the difficult decision to part ways with our Men's First Team Manager, Russell Martin."
West Ham ready to sell Paqueta
According to the Daily Mail, West Ham are reportedly ready to sell star midfielder Lucas Paqueta in the upcoming January transfer window. USMNT star Christian Pulisic is in advanced talks with AC Milan over a new contract as he is close to penning a new long-term deal with the Serie A giants, according to Matteo Moretto.
The ex-Chelsea player's new contract will run until 2028 with an option to extend it by another year. He will become one of the top earners in the club after signing the dotted and could earn in the region of €4m-€5m per season.
O'Neil sacked by Wolves after in-fighting
Gary O'Neil has lost his job as Wolves head coach after a chaotic loss to Ipswich that left his team with just nine points from 16 games.
Wolves chairman Jeff Shi has told the club's official website, with O'Neil overseeing 63 games in total: "We're very grateful to Gary for all of his effort, dedication and hard work during his time at the club, and we wish him and his team the best of luck for the future."
