LIVE Transfer Talk: Man United eye Fernandez ahead of Liverpool, Madrid, Barca

Manchester United could look to re-sign Benfica left-back Alvaro Fernandez, as Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid are starting to show interest, according to TEAMtalk.
Following loan spells with Preston North End and Granada, Fernandez , 21, left United permanently in the summer for an initial €6 million fee, but the club retained a clause to re-sign him for €19.2m. He also has a €50m release clause for any other club.
However, as left-backs Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia have struggled with injury this season, United boss Erik ten Hag revealed on Saturday that Fernandez is still in his thoughts. "I think the process is perfect," he said. "We loan him to Preston, he got back, then we loan him to Granada, he didn't play so much there, and of course we, all the time, observed him and now we had the opportunity to sell him.
"But we have a buy-back [clause] so we have control of the situation, I think that's what he needed. From Preston, then go to LaLiga, go to Portugal [with Benfica], every time stepping up to a higher club and a better league. Now we have to see and assess the situation if he can be an option for us."
The Spain U21 international has impressed this season, with Real Madrid and Barcelona reportedly keen to take him back to his homeland, while Liverpool have been linked with Fernandez as a long-term successor to Andy Robertson.
