Kyle Walker's wife 'files for divorce' in fight for half of his £27m fortune

Manchester City's star Kyle Walker has been served with divorce papers by Annie Kilner after reports suggest that the pair's relationship has deteriorated

Annie, 31, is understood to have served her Manchester City star husband with divorce papers and instructed her lawyers to begin legal proceedings. She is now preparing to fight for half of his £27million fortune.

According to The Sun, the pair are no longer on speaking terms - with the paper reporting that their relationship has "turned ugly". Walker has also contacted his lawyers, with a source telling the outlet: "Kyle was stunned when he got the papers.

"He's spoken to Annie about them and they are discussing the next steps. This doesn't necessarily mean they will divorce.

"This is as much Annie flexing her muscles as it is anything else. She wants Kyle to know she's not messing about. But if this is a bluff, it may well back-fire."

The pair are childhood sweethearts, meeting in Sheffield when they were just teenagers. However, they didn't tie the knot until November 2021 during an intimate ceremony at Mottram Hall in Cheshire.

However, they went their separate ways over Christmas after it was revealed Walker had fathered a second child with reality TV star Lauryn Goodman. Annie discovered the news after the child had been born - when she was pregnant with the couple's fourth child.

Walker admitted to The Sun: "What I've done is horrible and I take full responsibility. I made idiot choices and idiot decisions."

Walker has recently been in court after Lauryn was accused of making “greedy” demands - which reportedly put more strain on Walker and Annie's marriage.

And reports from August suggested that Walker had moved out of their Cheshire family home.

A source told The Sun: "He’s been staying at the club-owned apartments because he's got nowhere else to go. He thought Annie would have him back after they shared family holidays, but she wouldn’t agree to it."
