Liverpool are one of several Premier League clubs monitoring the situation of Juanlu Sanchez at Sevilla as uncertainty remains around the future of Trent Alexander-Arnold at Anfield.
The England international is out of contract with Liverpool at the end of the season and so far, there are no signs of a new deal being offered to the full-back.
The 25-year-old is a generational talent and talks will certainly take place later in the season but the interest of Real Madrid could complicate things for the Premier League side as the La Liga champions continue to monitor the player’s situation at Anfield.
Should Alexander-Arnold depart Liverpool at the end of the season, the Reds could turn to La Liga themselves for his replacement.
Sources have told CaughtOffside that the Merseyside club are one of several Premier League teams monitoring the situation of Juanlu Sánchez at Sevilla, who is out of contract with the Spanish outfit in 2026.
Sevilla are willing to consider offers of around €25m for the 21-year-old next summer as 2025 would be the ideal time to sell the versatile star should he fail to pen new terms at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium.
Premier League scouts have been following Sánchez’s performances closely this season with Arsenal and West Ham also showing an interest in the Spanish star.
No formal contact has been made yet but it is believed that the Sevilla talent is open to leaving the club ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Who is Liverpool target Juanlu Sanchez?
Sánchez is a natural right-sided player who can play as a right-back as well as a right-winger. The Spaniard has even been deployed as a central midfield this season at Sevilla and this versatility is highly attractive for top clubs in Europe.
The 21-year-old has been with the La Liga club since 2015 having joined their academy and has gone on to feature in 44 games since making his first team debut in 2021. The Spaniard experienced Olympic Games success this year in Paris with his nation and all this experience is vital at such a young age.
Sánchez remains an attractive option for several Premier League clubs and Liverpool will continue to monitor the full-back so long as Alexander-Arnold’s contract at Anfield expires in 2025.
