Transfer Talk: Milan rebuff Barca with Leao's €175m clause

AC Milan are determined to keep hold of forward Rafael Leao amid interest from Barcelona, according to Calciomercato.
The 25-year-old was linked with a move to the LaLiga giants over the summer, but the Rossoneri will reportedly only allow him to leave if the €175 million release clause in his contract is met. Which, given Barcelona's dire financial situation, was never a realistic possibility.
Leao is reported to be happy at the San Siro, where he is a key player for the Serie A side, having contributed to three goals in the opening four league matches so far this season, and he isn't looking to leave the club despite being linked with clubs across Europe.
The 33-time Portugal international signed a contract last June that secures his future at the club until the summer of 2028.
Rafael Leao's €175m release clause must be triggered if anyone wants to sign the forward from AC Milan.
