And French forward Thuram is reportedly a target.
According to Inter Live, the Gunners have been linked with a swap deal that would see Gabriel Jesus join Inter Milan.
However, the Italian giants would also likely demand a "substantial" fee.
Jesus joined Arsenal from Manchester City two years ago but has struggled with several injury issues.
Arsenal could decide to sell the Brazilian next year if they can find a strong enough replacement.
Meanwhile, Thuram has four goals and two assists in just three games so far this season.
The Frenchman joined Inter from Borussia Monchengladbach last summer and has since made 49 appearances.
Thuram also has 26 France caps.
