LIONEL MESSI'S wife Antonela Roccuzzo took social media by storm as she kicked off a new season as a "soccer mom".

Antonela, 36, took her son Thiago for training and posted a series of selfies with her child on Instagram.

Messi's childhood sweetheart took a seat by the touchline and was joined by an unexpected visitor while watching her son in action.

And that was none other than a cute lizard that just happened to be passing by.

Antonela posted: "New season of soccer mom starts."

Fans went wild as the photos attracted almost 1.5million likes from her 40.2m followers.
