Lionel Messi's missus, Antonela Roccuzzo, has set tongues wagging among her fans with an intimate tattoo reveal on Instagram.

Messi and Antonela are childhood sweethearts and got hitched in 2017 at the swanky City Centre Hotel and Casino of Rosario in a ceremony that was dubbed Argentina's 'wedding of the century.' Fast-track to 2024, after Messi joined Inter Miami, and the lovebirds have been lighting up social media, giving their followers a peak into their private lives.

Earlier this week, Antonela gave a glimpse into their family summer holiday, captioning the snap with Messi and their three children: "Verano y ellos", meaning 'summer and them' vibes in English. Donning a pink bikini, she struck a pose with her topless other half and their trio of sons against a lush ocean backdrop - but it was more than just dreamy views that had fans talking.

Antonela is known for her tattoos - with Thiago and Matteo tagged on her hands and little Ciro stamped on her wrist. Yet, it's a mysterious rib tattoo that's been sending her followers into a frenzy. In the subsequent snaps on her Instagram account, Antonela proudly flaunts a 'Leo' tattoo inked onto her ribs in honour of her childhood love and hubby.

Social media users gushed over the tribute, with one fan commenting on the post: "She has his name tattooed on her. God, country and family!" reports the Mirror. Another echoed the sentiment, saying: "Half the country has a Messi tattoo just the same," adding: "They are together since high school, they are married and they have three kids."

Meanwhile, another deduced: "Well, this is only valid if you are married to Messi himself." Antonella and Messi both sport several matching tattoos. They each have a crown etched on the inside of their arm and their wedding date inscribed on their ring fingers.

Messi has inked a kiss from Antonela in vivid red on his abdomen, alongside his kids' names and birthdates adorned on his leg. But that's not all - Antonela also rocks a butterfly on her wrist, an inky palm tree on her arm, flowery decoration on her foot, and a golden snitch positioned on the back of her arm; a cheeky hint at her massive Harry Potter fandom.

The couple first crossed paths at nine years old in the house of one of Antonella's cousins in Argentina. Chatting away on the Willing to Everything podcast, Messi reminisced: "I used to go to her house because of her cousin and that's where I met her, when we were very young. I always liked her."

Yet he and his sweetheart hit a bump in their relationship when he swapped Newell's Old Boys for Barcelona at just 13. Messi added: "Then at 13 years old I went to Spain and we kind of lost contact. Communication was much more difficult than now. It was through letters, emails or some international phone calls which were expensive. So we stopped talking and distanced ourselves a lot."

The young lovebirds found their way back to each other in their late teens, and things got serious as Messi inched towards his 20s. Antonela joined Messi in Barcelona, and they soon welcomed their first son, Thiago, in November 2012. They didn't stop there, with Matteo arriving in September 2015 and Ciro making an entrance in March 2018.
