Getting the boot is a constant worry for top flight managers - but hopefully the threat is not from their wives.

And while marriages do end (just ask Alvaro Morata) it is ruthless football chairmen who are more likely to terminate a relationship.

As such, managers often go from club to club and country to country while the constant in their lives remains their loved ones who are there for big derby wins and gut-wrenching last-minute defeats.

With that in mind, the Daily Star has taken a look at five of the most glamorous Premier League manager WAGs who will be supporting their husbands ahead of another rollercoaster season.

Cristina Guardiola - Pep Guardiola

It would be remiss of us not to start with Cristina Guardiola, whose husband Pep has won the Premier League with Manchester City four years on the bounce.

Brazilian Cristina met Pep in a shop and they dated for the next 20 years - before tying the knot in 2014 in Matadepera.

She was just 18 when she first introduced herself to the football genius, who at the time was a youngster at Barcelona, while she modelled for Antonio Miro.

They now have three children - daughters Maria and Valentina and a son called Marius. Cristina runs her own fashion company and she is said to share Pep’s passions for fashion, poetry and photography.

And speaking earlier this year to Men In Blazers, Pep said: “My wife is the best in the world at many things, but especially in fashion.

“So she says normally to me, don’t wear this or wear that, so I follow her. I am smart enough to know that when people are much better than me, follow their advice, and hers is really good.”

Lucy Pinder - Russell Martin

In case you hadn’t heard, earlier this month glamour model Lucy Pinder confirmed she was in a relationship with Southampton manager Russell Martin.

The Saints boss - who has three kids from a previous marriage - is coming off the back of a memorable season of getting his club promoted from the Championship.

He was recently seen with his new girlfriend at a Sky Sports function and one source told The Sun: “They’re a match made in heaven - or at least in Southampton. They’re mad for each either.”

Lucy rose to fame in the early noughties as a glamour model and away from the spotlight she has always supported Southampton.

Her first game was against WImbledon at the Dell for a primary school trip and her mother then took her to matches throughout her childhood.

And all these years later Lucy, 40, will now be supporting the team’s manager who will be hoping for a successful season back in the big league.

Lorena Bernal - Mikel Arteta

Many are predicting it will finally be the year that Mike Arteta wins the Premier League trophy for Arsenal.

And one woman who would love to see it happen is his wife, Lorena Bernal, who is an actress, TV host and spiritual life coach.

Like her husband, she is in the public eye, and is known for starring in shows like Chuck, The Deal and CSI Miami.

She was born in Argentina but moved to Spain as a baby and she became Miss Spain aged 17 before finishing top ten of the Miss World competition.

Arteta was a young footballer at Rangers when he met Lorena – who was oblivious to his fame.

And the Gunners boss used a strange analogy about courting his then future wife last season when talking about a then struggling Kai Havertz.

He said: “I said to him yesterday, things are a little bit hard at the beginning. When I met my wife at the beginning it was hard to conquer her, I had to try and message and go and go. At the end she said, ‘yes, we want to be together’, it’s beautiful.”

After six years of dating, the pair married in Mallorca, and they now have three sons together, Gabriel, Daniel and Oliver.

Lorena often shares pictures with Mikel on social media and after he lifted the Community Shield last August, she wrote on Instagram: “Winning or losing, always supporting you. Although winning tastes better.”

Georgia Postecoglou - Ange Postecoglou

On the other side of North London we have Georgia Postecoglou who met the Spurs manager in the 90s.

Back then Big Ange was training players at his former side South Melbourne Soccer Club and fellow Australian Georgia told an ABC documentary: “He was the senior coach and I was the marketing manager.

“Initially I wondered why everyone around him and around the club were so fascinated by and respected him, as he is not someone I would describe as charismatic or a charmer. It was only afterwards I got to understand him as a person.”

The couple have since travelled the globe because of Ange’s career and speaking about her, the Spurs man said: “I wouldn’t be where I am today without Georgia. Without her by my side I don’t know where I’d have ended up.”

Vicki Howe - Eddie Howe

Newcastle fans feared their manager was going to get snapped up by the national team - but we now know Vicky Howe will remain a Magpies WAG as opposed to an England one.

The pair started dating when Howe played for Bournemouth and they went on to have three sons together.

And speaking about first looking for a home in the North East so his family could join him at Newcastle, he told The Independent: “You know that you’re not going to see them for a period of time and I want to be in their lives every day and I want to shape their lives as best I can.

“But I know it’s for a short period of time and I know for me, I’m going on to something amazing, I’m managing Newcastle United and it’s an incredible experience for me.”
