Lionel Messi's £9million Ibiza mansion vandalised by climate yobs with stunning property covered in spray paint

LIONEL MESSI's Ibiza mansion has been vandalised by climate activist yobs.

Eco idiots doused the front of the Argentine's home with red and black paint after breaking into the property.

They also posed with a banner by a swimming pool and football pitch where the superstar and his family relax when on holiday on the island.

A pair of thugs were even seen posing inside some goal posts within the grounds.

The extremist group, which last year vandalised the HQs of Spain's leading political parties and banks and also targeted Ibiza nightclub Pacha, boasted online of the damage it had done to the property in Cala Tarida in the west of Ibiza.

Members released video footage showing two young female yobs at work with spray guns and red and black paint.

It is likely the clean up will cost thousands to put right.

It's understood Messi was not at the property, which he is understood to have purchased in 2022, when the vandalism took place.

Messi has long been a fan of holidaying on the island, stemming back to his time playing for Barcelona.

He and wife Antonela and their three children have often been pictured enjoying themselves in the popular tourist spot.

Messi spent the early part of the summer helping Argentina to glory in the Copa America.

Now playing for Inter Miami, the ex-PSG ace is currently taking a break from domestic football after picking up an ankle injury in the Copa America final.

Last summer the same eco idiots doused Pacha's famous cherry logo with black paint as well as storming the upmarket Blue Marlin beach club in Cala Jondal with protest banners saying: “Your luxury our climate crisis.”

They went on to vandalise a private jet at the island airport with paint and do the same with a yacht belonging to millionaire Walmart heiress Nancy Walton Laurie.
