Al-Ittihad are willing to spend big on Ederson after Manchester City turned down Al-Nassr's offer for the Brazilian.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Saudi Pro League clubs' interest in Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has intensified in the past few months as after Al-Nassr, former champions Al-Ittihad have now placed a bid for the Brazilian, according to the Daily Mail.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Fabrizio Romano had reported earlier this week that the Cityzens had turned down Al-Nassr's initial bid worth £25 million ($33m/€30 million) for the custodian as the club valued the player in the region of £50 million ($65m/€60 million). The latest report now claims that Al-Ittihad have reportedly agreed to match the reigning Premier League champions' demands.
DID YOU KNOW?
Per The Sun, City are still trying to negotiate a new deal with their first-choice goalkeeper and are reportedly ready to offer him a weekly salary of £900,000, a substantial signing bonus, and an overall pay increase of 75 per cent.
WHAT NEXT FOR EDERSON?
The 30-year-old is currently in the US along with Pep Guardiola's men who will be next seen in action on Tuesday in their first pre-season match against Celtic in North Carolina.
