A fugitive has been spotted partying with a stunning influencer at a Copa America football match.

Jesus David Saumeth Montes is known as 'El Gato', which translates as 'The Cat'. In his native Colombia he is wanted for alleged arms trafficking and homicide.

Saumeth is suspected to be the founder of the criminal organisation Los Colinas, based in his home city of Santa Marta on Colombia's Caribbean coast.

The Colombian authorities have released multiple 'wanted' alerts about Saumeth since he went on the run earlier this year. He apparently showed up in the US during a Copa America game.

Saumeth is said to have attended the tie between Colombia and Brazil at Levi's Stadium, in Santa Clara, near San Jose, California, US.

The match on Wednesday, July 3 ended in a 1-1 draw with ex-Leeds winger turned Barcelona star Raphinha's goal for Brazil cancelled out by Crystal Palace ace Daniel Munoz.

Saumeth was snapped posing with two influencers, bikini-loving model Karol Alcendra and artist Emiro Navarro, who have more than a million followers combined on Instagram. They have since denied knowing who he is or anything about his alleged criminal activities.

His presence in the US has reportedly concerned the Colombian authorities. Security agents are said to be redoubling their efforts to capture him.

He is accused of manufacturing and trafficking weapons in Santa Marta, as reported by NeedToKnow.

Saumeth is also linked to a series of homicides in the city between December 2020 and March this year.
